Horror fans around the world no longer have to worry about being left in the dark when it comes to all the latest movie news and reviews, thanks to a new app that just hit the market.
Called Slasher, this new mobile app was “designed by members of the horror community for the horror community,” states the company on its website. “We want to make it easier for us to connect with one another in meaningful ways.”
Damon Della Greca, the brainchild behind the app, says he is thrilled to launch the new app.
“For the first time ever, the horror community will be able to connect in unique and exciting ways. This new social network will bring an all-inclusive horror experience right to the palm of your hand. Horror fans should expect the unexpected in features that haven’t been available within the community until now,” writes Greca on Slasher’s Facebook Fan Page.
He adds, “Slasher was created as something I personally wanted in the horror community. It’s easy to find news and discussion groups on other social networks, but it’s very segmented. You don’t get the complete experience that you might find at a convention – with movies, cosplay, books, podcasts, art, music, and vendors all in one place. I wanted Slasher to have that awesome convention vibe.”
Craig Layton, a horror film fanatic and who is also active in the movie industry in Toronto and Halifax, says he is addicted with the new app.
“Slasher is an app dedicated to horror fans,” says Layton. “I love being the horror nut I am, and the app is totally awesome. I know there is a big market for this app; there is no politics involved, and it’s just about fans talking about horror and promoting their own work.”
The app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play, is superb in terms of its functionality and graphics.
Once you sign up, you then enter a digital platform devoted entirely to horror movies. The app has social features for groups, friends, dating, and live chat, and provides industry news and events. Even better, users can discover new film directors, movies, podcasts, books, and music.
The app is free to use and is ideal for any horror movie enthusiast, and it will keep you totally “in the know” on commercial and independent films alike.
If you think you know everything about horror – think again! Once you join Slasher, you will be amazed with all the movie titles presented and reviewed by users. This app will introduce you to new horror flicks that you never heard of, and as a member you will receive a constant flow of up-to-the-minute-horror-news.
There are lots of horror move apps out there, but this one is top-shelf as it connects fans on so many levels.
